and easy for fathers (including stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures)
to be more engaged with their children in an elementary setting.

Be There Dad
Be There Dad® is an organization whose purpose is to help dads become engaged and stay involved in the lives of their children. The Be There Dad (BTD) concept relies on the “power of presence”. That idea says that when dads are involved in the lives of their children in a positive way, good things happen:
- children achieve better grades
- they are more likely to stay in school
- they have better behavior
- they more easily build friendships
- they avoid negative behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse and violence
A primary initiative is helping dads establish their own BTD groups within their children’s schools so they can:
- encourage each other to become Be There Dads
- participate in activities with their children
- provide service to their schools
BTD supports dads through education, coaching, organization, tools, resources and encouragement.

Fathers Incorporated
Established in 2004, FI has a unique seat at the national table, working with leaders in the White House, Congress, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Family Law, Business, Faith-Based and the Responsible Fatherhood Movement. FI works collaboratively with organizations around the country to identify and advocate for social and legislative changes that lead to healthy father involvement with children, regardless of the father’s marital or economic status, or geographic location.

The DADvocacy Consulting Group
The DADvocacy Consulting Group (DCG) acknowledges the vital roles of fathers and mothers alike. DADvocacy builds upon research that affirms that children, fathers, families, and communities are better off when fathers and children are positively engaged in each other’s lives. It includes an active, lifelong commitment to the physical, emotional, social, cognitive/academic, creative, and moral/spiritual well-being of children. DADvocacy takes deliberate actions and helps develop policies to support, encourage, and optimize opportunities for fathers, grandfathers, and father figures to be involved in children’s lives, and vice versa.

North Carolina - Fathers Forever
Parenting isn't easy, but you can learn how to be a better father for your kids with Fathers Forever's 12-week program. Fathers Forever is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes responsible fatherhood and assists men in unfavorable circumstances toward self-sufficiency. Whether you're single or coparenting in NC, our fatherhood training program can help you understand how to communicate with your kids and stay involved in their lives as a positive role model and a stable father figure they can look up to. Unlike other fatherhood training classes and programs, our 12-week program is an on-the-job training course, so you can apply your training immediately with hands-on activities and communication with your kids.
Midwest - Good Dads
Fathers are critical for healthy families, happy children and thriving communities—but dads are often underestimated and under-appreciated. This stigma is particularly evident in the lack of father-focused programs in the US. Good Dads is the only organization in Missouri solely focused on increasing father engagement among fathers and children. We know how important fathers are, and we are committed to making sure this integral element of the family is not ignored, but rather, is encouraged and celebrated.

Here at Father Movement Inc, we believe the best way to improve the lives of our future generations is by supporting fathers to be positively engaged in the lives of their children. Dr. Kyle Miller - Illinois State University
A mixed methods analysis of survey data indicated that K–12 schools were significantly less father-friendly than social service organizations, with K–12 schools disclosing that little to no services targeted fathers and most family engagement efforts prioritized mothers or assumed father disinterest.

As a cooperative, FOCUS Broadband is dedicated to helping improve the communities we serve. Each year, FOCUS Broadband awards $40,000 to the numerous causes and worthwhile organizations that make a positive difference in the lives of local resident’s through our Community Grant Program.
